Who Should Have the Right to Fish?

05 Jan 2012 | 1 Comments

If you thought it was only restaurants like Nobu that are supporting unsustainable fishing then think again. As part of our long-standing dedication to marine preservation, Don't Panic TV presents a short film documenting the plight of independent fishermen working in inshore fisheries, as big-business 'Slipper Skippers' buy up fishing quotas and force them out of their livelihood. Oh yeah, which they’re doing with full government endorsement. As you know, we're big fans of fish (so long as it’s sourced in a manner that Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall would approve of), and after seeing this we’re also big fans of the fishermen who stand to lose their livelihood if nothing is done to help them.
