Italian born former law student Alessandro Gallo has gained widespread popularity in the UK exhibiting his willfully absurd, surrealist art. It's at once humorous and haunting, earnest and ironic. It's people, but it's animals. It's on display in Soho right now.





Right now I am pre-occupied with... this interview.

I'm trying to give up... caring about not making millions and billions.

Global Warming is... something I don't know enough about.



I particularly enjoy... spring, summer, chess and fishing.

My pockets are full of... coins. And a lighter.



When I'm not working I am... doing all sorts of stuff, trying to enjoy it.

I find it hilarious when... hippies talk about politics.



When I am creating my art I think about... doing well what I am trying to do.

If artists ruled the world it would be... terrible.



I am the polar opposite of... a penguin.

I am at my best when...  I'm at my best.



I will never, ever, ever... support France in a football world cup.

Never forget... mobile and keys when you are going out.and switch off the lights.
