Flying suit rocks

Santa, get me one of those!

Flying suit rocks

I think everyone dreams about flying. Not in a 'I believe I can fly' way, more like 'it would be so cool to surf in the clouds for a moment'. Just think how much more fun the future would be soaring elegantly down the skyscraping cliff faces of sci-fi metropolises. Thanks to the flying suit it's not such a flight of fancy – not the one Franz Reichelt used to jump off the Eiffel Tower mind.

Jeb Corliss created a compilation of the most breathtaking wing-suit flights. Apart from the really annoying soundtrack it depicts what really rocks in this extreme activity: speed, balancing on the verge, feeling like a bird. A typical skydiver's velocity ranges from 180-220 km/h. Now that's what I call an extreme sport! Skaters, surfers, bikers – go play with your funny boards and bikes. You have no idea what a real adrenaline rush is.

The only fact that actually bothers me is that no one provides statistics of how many people died due to the suit malfunction or were smashed into ground because of an unexpected wind. But, to be honest I couldn't care less. Finally, I know what I want for Christmas.
