East End Thrift Store
The ever-cool Le Cool magazine gave us a heads-up about the East End Thrift Store, which is in a warehouse on Assembly Passage just off Mile End Road opposite Blockbuster. Tis no ordinary vintage boutique though because at the East End Thrift Store you get plied with free champagne and good loud music. Most people were pissed and running around in a frantic shopping frenzy, but we still managed to get a few intelligible words on clothes and comfort.

Anna Brewiton
DP: Why are you here?
Anna: The free booze.
DP: Is that all?
Anna: Well I might buy this (holding up skirt).
DP: When do you feel most comfortable?
Anna: In bed.
DP: By yourself?
Anna: No.
DP: With your your boyfriend?
Anna: With some... body.
DP: Anyone in particular?
Anna: ...yeah.
DP: Who?
Anna: (biting lip).
DP: Who?
Anna: Is this going to be published?
DP: Yeah.
Anna: Can I just say a name that isn't that name?
DP: Go on.
Anna: Tom.
DP: Tom who?
Anna: Just Tom.
DP: Okay thanks.

Valeria and Sully
DP: Why are you here?
Valeria: I work here.
DP: (To Sully) Are you also working?
Sully: I'm always working.
DP: Do you think the free booze that you're giving out is just a cynical way of getting people to spend more money?
Valeria: No.
DP: What clothes do you feel most comfortable in?
Sully: Nice fabrics. Fabric first, then colour.
DP: Do you feel more comfortable in ethically made clothes?
Sully: I feel more comfortable in well-made clothes.
DP: So well-made gorilla coats then?
Sully: If clothes are ethically incorrect they're badly made.

Mathew and Harry
DP: What are you doing here?
Mathew: Drinking and shopping.
DP: What have you bought?
Mathew: Some net curtains.
DP: For your house or your back?
Mathew: Both.
Harry: Where are you guys from?
DP: Don't Panic
Mathew: Oh yeah, we're going to your party at Proud. And we know Scottee.
Oli (photographer): Me and Scottee are like that (crossing his figures).
Mathew: I bet you are.
DP: When do you feel most comfortable?
Harry: In whatever clothes make me feel most awkward.
Mathew: In my mother's arms.
Harry: You queer.

Crazy German dude from a forest
DP: Why are you here?
German Dude: I live at my friend's house. Well we don't live there, we kind of stay there until the flat is taken. It's being taken NOW! So we've got to move out pretty soon. But his friend, I think he knew about this place and they've got some nice clothes and nice beers.
DP: Where are you from?
German Dude: Germany.
DP: Whereabouts?
German Dude: From a forest.
DP: In what clothes do you feel most comfortable?
German Dude: When people look at me and say, "What the fuck is he wearing?"
DP: Thank you.
German Dude: You know, I've got an elephant in my pants.
DP: That's nice. You're very lucky.

Miles and Sarah
Sarah and Miles
DP: So what are you guys doing here?
Miles: It's my shop.
DP: Keeping an eye on things?
Miles: Something like that.
DP: So when/in what clothes do you feel most comfortable?
Miles: In knee pads.
Sarah: I feel most comfortable in a fillet of fish.
DP: A fillet of fish?
Sarah: Yes.
