Young Republicans
They're young, but they can emulate McCain quite well
So Obama is seven percent clear according to today’s papers with 50 percent to John McCain's 43 percent. This is a good thing by most accounts, but why are we so surprised? Who the hell are those 43 percent who plan to vote for a candidate whose whole campaign has been based on the fact that his Democratic adversary’s name sounds a bit like Osama (thus making him a terrorist) and who plans to continue the policies of perhaps the most disastrous presidency ever. Our US correspondent Tom Harris spoke to young Republican students at the University of Colorado in Boulder where he studies. Boulder is a Democrat majority area, and the university is renowned as a liberal school.
