Marie Curie have teamed up with Stephen Fry, Stephen Mangan and Gavin and Stacey’s Alison Steadman for their new campaign to raise awareness for the Great Daffodil appeal 2010.

If you haven't seen the video yet check it out here and read more on how you can support this very worthwhile cause. For some time charities have been looking at different ways in how they can attract a younger audience to help raise awareness and Marie Curie Cancer Care (MCCC) are no exception to this.

They have managed to bag some of the big names in entertainment to support the Great Daffodil Campaign and get young people giving up some of their time to support a really good cause. Normally at this time of year, MCCC would have asked people to donate money so that they can provide ill people with their nurses.

But 2010 is a different year. It’s time for people to actually get physically involved as well. The deal is simple. If you give MCCC one or two hours of your spare time, they can provide cancer patients with more hours of nursing care.

The Great Daffodil Appeal 2010 allows people to donate a bit of their time to make sure that more people than ever can paint the streets of Britain in yellow. As some things are more fun to do in a group rather than alone, MCCC are allowing people to set up their own fundraising events at work or at university. And, if you consider yourself as one of those lazy ones, why not design a virtual page that you can send to your friends to make sure that as many as possible get involved?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is a worldwide leading cause of death that continually is rising. In 2030, 12 million people are estimated to die from the illness. MCCC make sure that those who will die from cancer can do it in an environment that is dear to them. Marie Curie Cancer Care really need your help to make this work so check out what you can do here to support this very worthwhile cause.
