For their latest feature, we had Nottingham/London promoters and general purveyors of fine musical taste, Dollop, interview Kap10Kurt. The punk-funk-electro pair, consisting in equal parts of the Cap'n himself, and drummer Leah (of The Raveonettes), were playing at Dollop's night at The Old Blue Last among the fabric-covered, audience-decorated walls.
Sheets of canvas were stapled across the walls of the pub, transforming it into an impromptu art gallery. Kids were invited to scrawl and scribble their way across it, leaving signatures, illustrations, dirty jokes and existential novels behind in an act of artistic revelry. We tore Kap10Kurt away from their doodling before they could turn their pens on themselves. Check out their brand new video above and the scribblings of the Dollop punters below. But is it art?

Dollop: You've played all over the world, but what's your most memorable gig?
Kurt: The first Dollop party in
Leah: I still can't believe we have such an amazing video. Every time I look at it I’m in shock a little bit.
Kurt: Man, we feel so fortunate. We met The Holograms in
D: How did you come up with your name? Are you both massive Star Trek fans?
Kurt: Of course its a reference to Star Trek. I watched it as a boy growing up in
D: What other kind of music has influenced you?
Leah: I grew up listening to a whole lot of grunge. When I was in school me and my friend used to go home in our lunchbreak and headbang for thirty minutes, then go back to class. We thought we were soooo cool. I worship Dave Grohl. I would die if I ever met him. My heart would just stop beating I think...
