Playing in Bristol for the very first time is the mighty Sven Vath - in a unique and exclusive 'all-night-long' set with Visionquest's Seth Troxler. The show is a 'Cocoon's Heroes - Into the magic' show - with full show production and the amazing experience that you receive from any and all of Cocoon's world renowned parties. In:Motion bow down before the greatest hip hop act of all time, Public Enemy and are proud to host what will be an explosive live show from one of the most important acts in musical history. Public Enemy will be celebrating their 25th anniversary – and playing with a full live band, unleashing the musical fury that defined them as the musico-political icons of our time.
Flying the flag for a new breed of artists is Grimes, one of the most talked about names of 2012, bringing her innovative fusion of pop, punk and psychadelic revelry to the UK for a much anticipated performance. This is made all the more special as this will be Grimes’ only UK performance this winter – interrupting her European tour especially for this In:Motion show.
Magnetic Man aka Benga, Skream and Artwork brought dubstep to the mainstream with their eponymous debut album, paving the way for the sound to go global and influence everyone from Madonna to deadmau5. Immortal producer and musician, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry has been a huge influence on the development and acceptance of dub and reggae internationally and is still trailblazing today at the ripe old age of 76. Andy C is regarded as one of the greatest DJ’s ever to touch a turntable. Famed for his incendiary three deck mix DJ sets, the Ram Records founder has relentlessly dedicated almost two decades of his life to his unquenchable passion for drum & bass. International DJ force, High Contrast has smashed his way through the drum & bass scene since his first release with the much lauded label, Hospital Records. Having claimed critical recognition for his pioneering production skills, his catalogue of tracks remain in heavy rotation across the drum & bass circuit and he has become one of the scenes iconic and much respected heroes.
Jamie Jones continually grows more diverse as he continues to take risks to develop his unique sound. His style is varied but the backbone has always been deep house, Detroit techno and generally anything moody, edgy and groove based. Also performing is Moodymann, an outstanding figure in house music, jazz, soul and techno.
