WHAT YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT... CORNELIA O'DONOVAN

By

Above image: Café Royal (splash page)

Cornelia O'Donovan is our current poster artist. Her work has been shown on the Alternative London Fashion Week and printed worldwide in the World of Interiors Magazine. Cornelia previously trained in theatre arts and production and visual communications. In 2007 she received a masters in illustration from the RCA.

I prefer to work in colour rather than in monochrome because... life is glorious in Technicolour.

Black is the colour of... many other colours mixed together.

The Big City

Lately my art has been inspired by... hand painted tiles, architectural drawings, folk embroidery, the world’s tallest and the world’s smallest men meeting each other.

The artists I'm enjoying right now are... Isabelle Vandenabeele, Henry Darger, Mai Fukushima, Su Blackwell, Kate Malone, Nathalie Lete and Clare Rojas…

Man with Drink

Right before this interview I was... thinking about what to have for my dinner.
