The Artful Dodger Xmas
The Artful Dodger (A Dee) - one of the UK's first aerosol writers to make the transition from the streets to the corporate world in the 80s – takes on Iniva’s annual window commission with a group of “young trans-cultural creatives”.
The Once and Future Britain at Rivington Place makes a pre-emptive strike against a potential establishment, a foreboding monument to freedom of expression and the dangers of its erosion.
A Dee transports us to Britain in 2024 where cultural and religious holidays have been banned in favour of a more ‘socially cohesive’ nation.
It's on view at Rivington Place day and night until 2 January. There is an equally apocalyptic film to accompany the installation here.
