Nice Tatts
We take a wee look at when our Caisa got tattooed!
To be described as a volunteer in an effort to save the world sounds great and is probably a very good way of spending your time. But to be described as a volunteer when it comes to getting a tattoo done, it just feels that much better! And lucky for our Caisa, she was just that!

When The Wellcome Collection contacted us asking if we’d be part of their Skin exhibition, getting a tattoo done live at the opening, we were pretty excited. Our girl Caisa volunteered and suggested getting an anatomical tattoo with pigs as the inspiration. You know the old line that if you decapitate and dismember a pig corpse and a human corpse then you can’t tell them apart afterwards. Having formulated the original brief, we launched the design competition and want to thank everyone for their contributions. Caisa kept updating people through her blog, expressing her thoughts on the latest design submissions and tweeting her loyal followers along the way. She send her thanks to everyone involved.
After the tattoo, our brave and lovely Caisa had this to say:
“I’m going to admit, I slightly lost my appetite for a tattoo, but then I realised that I had baked my pie; and that’s when the hunger kicked in! As soon as the needle touched my skin, the pain felt like a sigh of relief and all my doubts faded to righteous black ink, fuck yeah!

Luckily for me, Pure Ink’s Bruno Jardim was the tattooist. Together with Ashley Jagdeo, founder of Pure Ink, Bruno made sure that the winning design in the competition got tattooed live in front of the audience at The Wellcome Collection.”
To say that the final tattoo was an accomplishment would feel like an understatement to us here at Don’t Panic. None of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for you guys, the competition entrants, and Ashley and Bruno at Pure Ink.
