Great Birds of the British Isles

Great Birds of the British Isles are four female artists: Milk, K148, Dora and Amour currently living and working in Bristol. The collective formed in 2009, working closely together to incorporate their visuals and individual styles.

Sometimes working independently and sometimes working together on collaborative pieces, the birds combine paintings, prints, fabrics and photography, with their use of colour, form and essence, allowing the viewer to find each space unique.

After two years away from their hometown, all four members are back together and next month will see their opening exhibition party at The Upper Gallery. Beginning on the 15th July, it promises to be what the ‘Great Bird’s’ like to call ‘Site Specific Beautification’.

“After very successful shows in London and Bristol we are bringing back an art show of all new work to our home town of Bristol…it’s time to make a fresh imprint, the Great Birds are back.”

Opening Party - Friday 15th July 7pm - till late.

At The Upper gallery, The Island, Bridewell St, Bristol, BS1 2LE.

The exhibition will run from 16th - 24th July, 12-7pm daily.
