Dolls

Dolls

Every girl - and boys with more liberal parents, - ad Barbies growing up. At 50 years old Mattel’s flagship creation is pretty old hat. We recently found London-based doll makers Charles and Desmond, directors of Superfrock Collectibles. They’re exhibiting at the same museum where Barbie had her birthday bash, but they’re staying around for half a year!

If you’re in Paris you should check it out. Couture meets doll making meets art makes for a good exhibition (previous exhibitions have included subliminal fetishism, self-medication, and lesbian-love-triangle-operas.)
