Calling all poster designers!

Norwegian Wood, a new film adapted from the bestselling Haruki Murakami novel and featuring an original score by Jonny Greenwood, opens in cinemas nationwide on 11th March 2011.

If you think you have what it takes to produce a film poster that will attract audiences then this competition is for you.

Our editor, James, interviewed the director here - have a read for some more information on the film.

To download stills and tools click here (ZIP file; alternatively you can download a RAR file). For concept ideas look at posters for films, books, records and think about the audience being targeted and the mood captured. To view the teaser for the film click here.

NORWEGIAN WOOD is a story of love and heartbreak in a time of global instability. As students around the world are uniting to overthrow the establishment, Toru Watanabe’s personal life is similarly in tumult. At heart, he is deeply devoted to his first love, Naoko, a beautiful and introspective young woman. But their complex bond has been forged by a tragedy years before, until Midori, a girl who is everything that Naoko is not – outgoing, vivacious, supremely self-confident – marches into his life and Watanabe must choose between his past and his future.

- The film poster must embody some characteristics from the book - ideally it will be visually led though typographic posters will also be considered

- Finished artwork should be 30 x 20 inches, vertical, at 300dpi

- For voting purposes, please upload a 72dpi, RGB version of your design - file should not exceed 1mb
